Pride Island 2021

This year is NYC Pride’s 35th Anniversary of the acclaimed event that is Pride Island. As NYC opens up with full vaccination on the horizon, we are celebrating all that we have, honoring all that we’ve lost, and toasting to the future of NYC Pride and what our World can look like post-Covid. NYC Pride is proud to introduce the legendary Pride Island experience in a hybrid format so you can Dance Through the Decades celebrating 35 years of dancing openly with the ones we love in whatever way feels comfortable to you. This new inclusive evolution remains the central programming hub for the LGBTQIA+ community to celebrate Pride at our Flagship venue, your favorite gathering spot in town, or the comfort of your own home.

Pride Island serves as a fundraiser to help NYC Pride raise crucial funds to help produce a multitude of free events such as our Youth Pride, Family Movie Night, The Rally, and many more! Help us give back to the broader community. NYC Pride will be selecting non-profits within the local New York City area to receive grants as part of this community-driven event.

Lina Bradford Born and raised in New York City, she identified as Trans at a young age and her career in entertainment began at an early age as a dancer. Those same moves she learned in rehearsals became a part of her signature style when she began her DJ career 18 years ago by performing throughout the gritty East Village scene. Accolades soon came rolling in, including DJ of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards at the Glammy and Sage Innovator. DJ Lina is often seen hosting the biggest private parties from NYC to Europe. Even with all her accomplishments, she feels as if she is just beginning to hit her stride. 

Joe Gauthreaux As one of the most sought-after DJs and Producers in the industry, Joe Gauthreaux has a resume full of club appearances and main events that spans the last 15 years – with the list ever-growing. Constantly evolving, Gauthreaux has now taken his music to the next level with his own house music label “Prop D Recordings.” As both songwriter and producer on his original productions, Gauthreaux is a major creative force to be reckoned with in the dance music industry. Whether you are expecting big vocals, house rhythms, progressive-tech beats, or tribal drums, Joe Gauthreaux will have you experiencing a musical journey you won’t ever forget.
